Blog #11 Blogger

The fact that this is my last blog entry for my English 102 class is just crazy. It went by so quick almost as if i just blinked my eyes and it was all over. Now that this is officially my last post for the time being i would like to actually thank blogger for not only making my writing better, but also showing me a few ways to really think about topics and how to write on them.

Blogging at first was really hard for me i didn't know anything about it, and that just made me really frustrated. When i didnt good a very good grade on my first blog project i then realized i needed to step it up really fast or this will not be a very good ending to my grade in this class. I then learned that if you just chose a topic you are very comfortable writing about it makes life so much easier and i began to get the hang of this whole blogging deal.

While blogging i learned that you cant always give up when you get a negative comment on your writing. Not everyone agrees on what it is you are writing about and you cant get mad about that you just have to be strong and continue to grow from those comments by using them as inspirations. Blogging help me see how others write and if my writing was either similar or different from their style of writing.

As blogging being part of my assignments every week i feel as it is a good way to open up students minds by making them really think about what they want to write about. This whole blogging idea to me was very successful and i would do it again because it made me better at writing.

Blogging makes writing fun it doesn't come with all the stress it like your just out there free writing about whats on your mind and lets you express your feelings to the world.

Entry #10 CALL OF DUTY!!!!!!

Oh man how can i start the game i once never stopped playing all throughout my teen years. Call Of Duty :) this game truly helped me get through my time in high school and helped me build a relationship with many people both in our outside of school. My first time ever hearing about Call Of Duty was when i was at lunch with a group of friends and thats all they ever talked about. So during my sophomore year of high school i decided since everyone else was playing it i should try this thing out. This was the best decision i had ever made.

The first ever Call Of Duty games i played were Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Call Of Duty Black Ops. The games itself took a very long time to get the hang of and seeing how good everyone else already was made it that much harder. I went from the so called Noob to a absolute monster on the sticks. I ended up at one point being ranked in the top 150 players in the world and it was just amazing to me as a kid how i could be so good at a game. My friends and I spent almost every summer of my high school days just up all night till the weeee hours of the morning playing this game on multi player servers.  Every once and awhile my friends and i look back and just reminisce about all the fun we had beating so many clans in this game and how bad we wish e could just go back to these Call Of Duty days we once enjoyed.

There are times where i just wish i could come home and hop on my system and go to war with my friends again but i know i cant and i am thankful for the time i was able to spend with them on this game we all loved as teens. RIP COD

Entry #9 The Effect of Media On People

Recently in class we watched a film that demonstrated a variety of ways media effects us people as a whole. I never noticed how much media effected us until that film. Media shows us many different things such as the way people should look, what people should and should not eat, and how children should and shouldn't act.

The biggest effect media has on our society is by our news station which compete with each other day in and day out 24 hours a day 7 days a week. News stations such as ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox are all typically gonna talk about the same situation happening but yet they all seem to have different stories when talking about the same exact situation. Theses stations play a huge role in what people believe to be true or untrue in certain situations such as the whole Ferguson case. After listening to these stations people either decide to to side with the officer or side with the young man who was shot to death. The news may want you to think one thing even if your thinking the other which makes many of these news stations very biased and trust worthy.

 

Social Media is also another way media affected our society. If it wasn't for social media im sure over half the country would have any clue what is going on in this crazy world we live in. Honestly if it wasn't for social media i would have absolutely no clue what happened in Ferguson because i never watch the news and im starting to realize how sad that is to rely on a silly portable device that does nothing but distract me from the real world.

The effect of Media is bigger than you think just stop and realize everywhere you go or almost everything you see is an example of media somehow someway.

Entry #8 The Diffrence in Cartoons Today

As a little kid growing up in a small town with just under 300 people living in your are there was not to much to do. Sure i could go play outside seeking to find friends somewhere, but that was just to much work. So as a kid i enjoyed my time by watching a lot of TV to be specific i watched alot of Cartoons from Nickelodeon, Disney channel, to Cartoon Network.

I recently tried to watch those channels i once never took my eyes off of and it was just so hard because these new shows on my once favorite networks where noting like the great sows i used to watch each and everyday. The biggest issue with these new cartoons in my opinion are the way they lack creativity and just effort in general.

The cartoons nowadays are just awful and meaningless. Cartoons in my childhood had a meaning, purpose, and a lesson you always learned behind them. Cartoons nowadays are probably giving a story to young kids to earn money or not go to school or something. Cartoons nowadays are all for popularity and are so focused on being so called "cool" to these young kids but they are really lame not cool at all.

In many ways i think cartoons nowadays are just awful and i wish that the great shows i watched as a child would just come back and take over these horrible cartoons being aired.

Entry #7 Dumb Men

In the Blog Dumb Men we are opened up to see how men play a crazy yet interesting role when it comes to advertisement and TV.  In this blog they show a variety of ways how men are shown to be not so smart aka dumb and only care about stupid things in life such as, football, beer, and sleep. I think it is wrong because they are acting as if men are worthless and don't care about anything but themselves. Yes men are the self titled tough guys but men also know alot of things just like women.

In Advertisement and Tv on the women side they are always the ones to fix things and make things better for their families and friends. Such as any spills they clean them right up, all laundry is done and folded to perfection, and any injuries to their children are taken care of right away.

The difference in this is that when ever women are given a bad image in a commercial or advertisement it is always a huge issue, but when it comes to men they really don't care and take little to no offense to anything.

When ever i look at advertisement i realize there is always stereotype happening and it is just not right. Why cant we just make commercials with everyone being equal and not one being dumber than the other.

Blog #6 Heaven Or Hell

Is God really the man who decides your fate? 

If you dont believe in God do you automatically go to Hell?

Im sure these are both questions we as people either believe or dont believe each and every day. Its funny how alot of people think that just because they go to church the are automatically going to Heaven. The people who dont go to church but do believe in God still isnt good enough for the people who actually take the time to sit at church and worship God. 

You see it every were from our school campus to the streets there are people out there just trying to get people involved with going to church and reading the bible. The most common reason for people thinking others will go to hell is due to the fact that those people dont believe in God and for that those people are judged in a bad way. 

I think personally that whether you believe in God or not if you do something really bad in this world you are going to Hell no questions asked. Sure you could ask for forgiveness but that's not always enough. 

There are a number of people out her who also believe that if you don't have the same beliefs as them that you are not a suitable person for them to date, be friends with, or even socialize with and that is their own opinion and they are entitled to that. 

We all are not God we dont decide whether or not a person is good or not and we need to realize that and stop being so judgmental towards others.
